Pink TV
In December 2004, Pink TV, the country's first gay and lesbian channel, began broadcasting in France. TF1, "Canal+", "Lagardere", M6 are behind the creation of the channel. The Supreme audiovisual Council of France allowed Pink TV to broadcast 208 erotic programs, but demanded that they be double-coded and aired after midnight until five in the morning. PINK TV broadcasts shows such as the American hit Queer Eye for a Straight Guy, the British drama series Tipping The Velvet, as well as documentaries, talk shows and movies (two category X films).
The channel is coded by Compunicate. Unofficial viewing Pink TV is possible with the help of a cardsharing.
